A favourite with Peltours customers, this itninerary allows you to gain a true insight into this fascinating country, in the comforts of a high quality Nile Cruise boat with all your sightseeing included, you also have the oppotunity to relax in the beautiful Red Sea Resort of Taba Heights.

Sightseeing

All sightseeing is included in the price of the holiday. With Peltours, we pride ourselves on the higest quality and exceeding your expectations. Your guide is a fully qualified Egyptologist who is fluent in English.

All entrance fees to the sites, excursions and guiding during the Nile Cruise and indeed the time you spend in Cairo, are included.

Itinerary

Nile cruises depart on set days each week. Therefore, your itinerary will be as below but will vary according to your day of departure from the UK. Whatever your day of departure, itineraries will be very similar and are together at certain times, according to your flights. Please see below:

# Saturday to Saturday from Gatwick valid for departures on or between 06/10/07 - 25/10/08

# Monday to Monday from Manchester valid for departures on or between 01/10/07 - 27/10/08

Day-by-day Itinerary

Saturday #1 – Fly to Egypt. On arrival to Taba International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Taba Heights on the Red Sea for dinner and overnight.

Sunday #1 – Day on the Red Sea. Spend the day at leisure, try out the various watersports on offer in the resort (payable locally)

Monday #1 – Day on the Red Sea. Spend the day at leisure, take a trip to Saint Catherines Monestary (payable locally)

Monday #2 - On arrival to Taba International Airport from Manchester, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Taba Heights on the Red Sea for dinner and overnight.

Tuesday #1 #2 – Day on the Red Sea. Spend the day at leisure, or have a go at the daytime activities such as Water Polo or Beach football.

Wednesday #1 #2 – Day on the Red Sea. Spend the day at leisure. ( Scuba diving is not recommended, due to the flight the next day.)

Thursday #1 #2 – Travel to Luxor. Transfer by road (approx. 3 hours) to Sharm el Sheikh airport for your flight to Luxor. Transfer to your hotel in Luxor. Breakfast & dinner.

Friday #1 #2 – Begin your Nile Cruise. In the morning you will fly to Aswan where you will board your Nile Cruise boat. Have lunch on board the cruise boat and begin your fascinating trip back to the beginning of time (well, the ancient Egypt era). In the afternoon you will visit the Botanical Gardens by fellucca. Take afternoon tea on board, have dinner and spend overnight on board in Aswan. Breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Saturday #1 #2 – Day 2 of Nile Cruise. This morning begin the day with a visit to the High Dam, the Old Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and the Philae Temple. After lunch sail to Kom Ombo to visit the temple of Sobek and Haroresis and continue sailing to Edfu. Take afternoon tea on board. Tonight, take dinner on board and enjoy a traditional Galabea party. Overnight in Edfu.

Sunday #1 #2 – Day 3 of Nile Cruise. Today you will visit the temple of the falcon-headed god Horus in Edfu. After lunch sail to Luxor. Take afternoon tea on board and overnight on board in the ancient city of Luxor.

Monday #1 #2 – Day 4 of Nile Cruise. Today’s sightseeing includes the amazing West Bank and the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. A visit to Hatshepsut’s Temple and the Colossi of Memnon will leave you with unforgettable memories. In the evening you will fly to Cairo for a overnight.

Tuesday #1 #2 – Sightseeing in Cairo. Full day of sightseeing to the ancient city of Cairo. Visit the famous Egyptian Museum housing some of the most incredible artefacts in the world. Old Cairo, the Citadel, Mohammed Ali Mosque, Coptic Church and the Khan el Khalili Bazaar (hold tight, this one is an experience). Dinner & overnight in Cairo.

Wednesday #1 #2 – Sightseeing in Cairo. Visit the famous ancient Pyramids in Giza, the Sphinx, Memphis and Sakkara (whatever you do, don’t forget your camera). Overnight in Cairo.

Thursday #1 #2 – Travel to Taba Heights. Today, you’ll travel by road (4-5 hours) from Cairo to Taba Heights. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in Taba Heights for dinner and overnight.

Friday #1 #2 – Day on the Red Sea. Day at leisure in Taba Heights to re-charge your batteries and catch some sunshine. (You must not scuba dive today or on your last day). BB + Dinner.

Saturday #1 – Return flight to the UK. Morning at leisure before your return flight to the UK.

Saturday #2 - Day on the Red Sea. Day at leisure - why not try some watersports! BB + Dinner.

Sunday #2 - Day on the Red Sea. Day at leisure. If you are flying the following day, you must not scuba dive. BB + Dinner.

Monday #2 - Return flight to UK. Morning at leisure before your return flight to the UK.

NOTE: Itineraries are subject to change according to prevailing conditions. Changes will try to be kept to a minimum although some itineraries for the cruise are done in reverse according to which direction the cruise boat is sailing.
