I believe we made the right choice with the right company!

Where should I go for peace and quiet, sun and happy people in February? Morocco, Tunis or perhaps even Egypt but that was a long flight. In the end I found a good deal to Taba, a place I had never heard of in the Sinai. I booked with a new company to me, Peltours. They used an airline Astraeus, which was known and I knew the aircraft has reasonable leg room. This meant the 5 hour flight was bearable.

All paperwork arrived promptly. Departure from Gatwick was easy compared to many journeys I had taken. The aircraft was B757 with only 201 seats, the ones I flew had over 235, so there was more leg room! Transfer was efficient and we arrived at the hotel in time for dinner.

The food was well cooked, had variety and had a chef on hand to cook the omelettes in the morning or pasta varieties in the evening. The hotel was not a concrete block stuck on the side of the beach, with the sameness of many others around the world. This hotel the Sol y Mar Sea Star, had Egyptian influence was well appointed and the blocks of rooms surrounded several pools. The beach was a short walk away or a couple of minutes in the hotel bus, which ran frequently with the smiling driver. It was islolated but with a backdrop of ancient hills, and a vista which covered the Red Sea and the coastlines of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel, it was unique.

I was concerned that it would be too quiet but there was a regular bus to Taba, or one could go on the many organised tours.

We spent a long time on the beach snorkelling as there was coral, within easy swimming distance, which held a variety of beautiful fish.

The week rushed by, the temperature was much warmer than forecast so we swam alot. The salty sea did wonders for my skin. It was an ideal holiday to relax and choose to do nothing. There were trips to Cairo, Jerusalem, Petra or St Katherine's Monastery or else you can curl up with a book sip your drink and enjoy the wind free, cloudless sky atmosphere. The major ingredient in making this holiday so great was the Egyptian staff, from the driver of the coach, the waiters and the friendly managers who could not do enough. I believe we made the right choice with the best company.

We had a wonderful time

My wife and I have just returned from a 7 day holiday at the Hyatt regency in Taba Heights. We were there from 26th February to 5th March.

I just wanted to drop you a quick message to say we had a wonderful time. the hotel, the resort and the staff were all excellent, In particular I wish to thank your representative at the hotel Ahmed. He was extremely helpful and a rranged a fabulous day trip to petra in Jordan for us. We also met Hashim at the hotel who was also very helpful.

All the travel arrangements went smoothly abd the transfers were very good.

This was our first trip to Egypt and our first trip with Peltours and I can confidently say we hope to return to Egypt and travel will peltours again.

We have just returned from a week at the Hyatt Regency in Taba Heights. What a fabulous hotel and hotel and lovely resort!

The accommodation was excellent and the facilities great. The food was delicious; the restaurant staff courteous and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the Egypt evening with local dishes and the staff dressed in local kaftans.

The Peltours reps were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. Both Ahmed and Hashim gave us lots of useful advice and yips, particularly about the excursions. We went to Petra; that was breathtaking.

We certainly hope to go back.

I would personally like to thank Peltours for the fabulous trip we have just enjoyed in Taba Heights, Egypt.

We stayed at the Marriott Hotel, Taba heights and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and very friendly. We would also like to say that the Peltours staff were excellent and a credit to the company.

Whilst there we took the opportunity to do the overnight to Cairo. We met a lovely guide in Cairo who stayed with us for the 2 days, he was wise, amusing and a very interesting man we had the priviledge to meet. Also the 5* Conrad Hotel, WOW!

So as you can see we had a lovely holiday and cannot wait to travel with Peltours again.

Stayed at the 5* Marriott Beach Resort, Taba Heights

Can't wait to go back!

My daughter and I have just returned from a weeks holiday in Taba Sea Star Hotel. I wanted to give feedback, we had a marvellous holiday it was so peaceful and relaxing. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The staff, from waiters to chefs to cleaners and reception were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We chatted to some of the staff who gave us an insight into life in Egypt.

The All Inclusive package was excellent, the food was plentiful and tasty. The beach area was wonderful, again very clean, we felt totally spoilt. I could thoroughly recommend this hotel if you want to relax completely and switch off. Of course the weath was wonderful, having left England in the rain and temperatures of 10 degrees it was amazing to feel the hot sun, immense.

We did one trip to jerusalem, its a long day but well worth it. Our guide was a lovelly man who knew the place well and was full of information. A great experience!

Thank you Peltours for making what was a short break holiday into an amazing holiday.

Can't wait to go back!

Just a quick e-mail to say a big THANK YOU for your fantastic help and attention in booking our recent break at the Marriott, Taba Heights.

Back now, it was great, everything went smoothly for us all and and we had a fantastic time.

For sure we will be going again (sooner rather than later!) and will be contacting you at that time to make similar reservations.

The marriott staff really deserve the good publicity, what a lovely friendly lot they were.

A wonderful time on the Nile

Dear Peltours,

We recently booked a last minute holiday with yourselves "Gift of the Nile". Just to say we had a wonderful time. Apart from just 2 hours sleep in Cairo on the first night!! The reps were super efficent and always pleasant, we did not need to think of any of the travel details just met them when advised to do so, everything went very smoothly. Our tour guides were very professional and informative. A big thank you also for the upgrade on our room on the Oberoi Shahrazad as it was our Silver Wedding Anniversary. It was a lovely surprise. This will certainly be a holiday to remember with fond memories.

We will have no hesitation in booking with Peltours in the future.

Gift of the Nile itinerary

Flawless from start to finish

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Marriott Beach Resort in Taba Heights, it was flawless from start to finish. The Peltours staff and the Marriott hotel staff went out of their way to help make our holiday an enjoyable and memorable one. The hotel was spotless and offered an excellent selection of food, always served with a smile from the staff in the restaurant. The Peltours representatives were very informative and always happy to assist.

We made full use of the Gym which was well equipped and extremely clean, and seemed to be very popular - we even met the General Manager there!

Astraeus (the airline) were a pleasure to travel with, and the flight was very comfortable. We will definitely be returning!

Very impressed in spite of comments posted on consumer feedback website

Despite Peltours' reassurances, it was with some misgivings that we travelled to the Marriott Resort, Taba.We need not have been concerned, the resort itself, spectacular, the food,appetising and beautifully presented, the staff, from reception to the gardeners, the waiters to the security men were polite, friendly and welcoming. We were particularly impressed that the the staff were able to produce and serve food and drink so cheerfully, when they were fasting during Ramadan.

We were so impressed that we asked your delightfully capable Gillian Haberman, to make a booking for us and my daughter to return at Christmas,which she did immediately. Gillian and Janet Poynton, The Marriott customer relations manager,are notable assets at the resort, always available, capable and welcoming, either to pass on any helpful information, or to deal with any unlikely problem. We look forward to meeting them again at Christmas.
We realise the hotel is likely to be much busier at that time, but do not feel that should present any undue problems.
Knowing that different people have different priorities for their holliday accommodation, we never recommend any hotel, however much we have enjoyed it, but would say, as we have done with most of our frequent holidays, we thoroughly enjoyed it, found it entirely satisfactory, and would be happy to return, (as indeed we are to do).
