This itninerary allows you to gain a true insight into this fascinating country, in the comforts of a high quality Nile Cruise boat with all your sightseeing included.

Sightseeing

All sightseeing is included in the price of the holiday. With Peltours, we pride ourselves on the higest quality and exceeding your expectations.
All entrance fees to the sites, excursions and guiding during the Nile Cruise and indeed the time you spend in Cairo, Aswan and Luxor are included.

Your guide will be a fully qualified Egyptologist who is fluent in English.

Itinerary

DAY 1. Friday
On arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met our representative and transferred to the Four Seasons or Mena House Hotel in Cairo for overnight. BB.

DAY 2. Saturday
Following breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing which will take you to visit the Great Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, Memphis and Sakkara with a camel ride. Lunch will be served at the Mena House or Intercontinental. Overnight at the Four Seasons or Mena House Hotel. BB + L.

DAY 3. Sunday
After breakfast, today’s sightseeing will include the famous Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque, Old Cairo, the Hanging Church, Ben Ezna Synagogue and Khan El Khalili bazaars with lunch at the Intercontinental (or similar). In the evening, you will enjoy a sound and light show at the Pyramids. Overnight at the Four Seasons or Mena House Hotel. BB + L.

DAY 4. Monday
After breakfast you will fly to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will continue by air
to Abu Simbel to visit the famous Temples. At the end of the visit, fly back to Aswan for dinner and overnight at the Oberoi Aswan or Old Cataract Hotel. BB + D.

DAY 5. Tuesday
Embark during the late morning on the Philae Cruise boat. Lunch will be served on board and in the afternoon you will visit the Botanical Gardens by Felucca. Dinner and overnight on board. BB + L + D.

DAY 6. Wednesday
Today’s sightseeing will show you the High Dam, Old dam, the granite quarries and unfinished obelisk. A short boat ride will take you to the temple of Philea. You then sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Edfu. Tonight a traditional Galabea party and dinner on board. Overnight on board. BB + L + D.

DAY 7. Thursday
Start the day with a visit of the ancient Temple of the Falcon God Horus. The cruise will then take you to Esna to cross the Esna Lock. You will then cruise to Luxor. Overnight on board. BB + L + D.

DAY 8. Friday
This morning you cross to the West Bank and visit the Valley of Kings and Queens and the tomb of Tutankhamen (when open). A visit to Hatsheput’s temple and the Colossi of Memnon will leave you with unforgettable memories. Overnight on board. BB + L + D.

DAY 9. Saturday
This morning you disembark the boat after breakfast to visist the Temples of Luxor and Karnak. Your tour will end at the Sonesta St.George or Old Winter Palace Hotel for overnight and dinner. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax or go to the bazaars, sightsee or whatever takes your fancy. In the evening light and sound show in the Temple of Karnak will tell you tales of ancient Thebes. BB + D.

DAY 10. Sunday
Today you fly back to Cairo for your last night in Egypt . This evening enjoy a traditional dinner and show on board a cruise boat moored by the Nile River Bank. Overnight at the Four Seasons or Mena House Hotel. BB + D.Note: If you wish to see more of Cairo, we suggest that you fly back from Luxor early morning to allow yourself time for sightseeing and shopping in Cairo.

DAY 11. Monday
After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to Cairo Airport for your return flight to London.

We will be pleased to include flights if you prefer, which can be based on British Airways, British Midlands or Egypt Air from London Heathrow Airport to Cairo. From time to time, the airline may impose fuel surcharges which may be passed on to you but we will let you know before you make your decision to book.
