Sightseeing

All sightseeing is included in the price of the holiday. With Peltours, we pride ourselves on the highest quality and exceeding your expectations.
All entrance fees to the sites, excursions and guiding during the Nile Cruise and indeed the time you spend in Cairo, are included. Your guide is a fully qualified Egyptologist who is fluent in English.

Itinerary

DAY 1. SATURDAY
On arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel of your choice in Cairo for overnight. BB.

DAY 2. SUNDAY
Following breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing which will take you to visit the Great Pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, Memphis and Sakkara. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Overnight in Cairo. BB + L.

DAY 3. MONDAY
Today’s sightseeing includes the famous Egyptian Museum, the Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque, Old Cairo, the Hanging Church, Ben Ezna Synagogue and Khan El Khalili bazaars. Overnight in Cairo. BB.

DAY 4. TUESDAY
This morning you will fly to Aswan for the start of your cruise. Lunch will be served on board and in the afternoon you will visit the Botanical Gardens by Felucca. Dinner and overnight on board. BB + L +D.

DAY 5. WEDNESDAY
Today’s sightseeing will show you the High Dam, Old Dam, the Granite quarries and unfinished obelisk. A short boat ride will take us to the temple of Philea. You then sail to Kom Ombo to visit the temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Edfu. Tonight a traditional Galabea party and dinner on board. Overnight on board. BB + L + D.

DAY 6. THURSDAY
Start the day with a visit of the ancient temple of the Falcon God Horus. The cruise will then take you to Esna for the crossing of the Esna Lock. You will then cruise to Luxor. Overnight on board. BB + L + D.

DAY 7. FRIDAY
This morning you cross to the west bank and visit the Valley of Kings and Queens and the tomb of Tutanhkamen (when open). A visit to Hatshepsut’s temple and the Colossi of Memnon will leave you with unforgettable memories. In the afternoon, you will visit the temples of Luxor and Karnak. Overnight on board. BB + L + D.

DAY 8. SATURDAY
This morning you disembark the boat after breakfast. A flight will take you to the Red Sea sunshine resort of Sharm El Sheikh for a day of sun and relaxation. Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh. BB

DAY 9. SUNDAY
Day at leisure. Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh. BB

DAY 10. MONDAY
Day at leisure. Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh. BB

DAY 11. TUESDAY
An early start to visit St. Catherine Monastery including the Basilica Church which was built by Emperor Justinian in 527AD; the Chapel which was built at the supposed site of the Burning Bush; and the Refectory. Return to Sharm El Sheikh for overnight. BB.

DAY 12. WEDNESDAY
Today you fly back to Cairo for your last night in Egypt.
NOTE: If you wish to see more of Cairo, we suggest that you fly back from Sharm early morning to allow yourself time for sightseeing and shopping in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo. BB.

DAY 13. THURSDAY
Transfer from your hotel to Cairo Airport for your return flight to London.

We will be pleased to include flights if you prefer, which can be based on British Airways, British Midlands or Egypt Air from London Heathrow Airport to Cairo. From time to time, the airline may impose fuel surcharges which may be passed on to you but we will let you know before you make your decision to book.
