We respect the privacy of our customers; therefore we are committed to the following privacy policy, which is designed to give you peace of mind and confidence.
In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements we (and your travel agent) need to use the information you provide (such as name, address, any special needs/dietary requirements etc).
We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. The information may also be provided to public authorities such as customs/immigration if required by them, or as required by law.
Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will not, however, pass any information onto any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as details of any disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. (If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot provide your booking. In making a booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons).
Whether you are booking a holiday, requesting a brochure, or registering for our E-Newsletter, we will ask for your name, your postal address, your telephone and fax number and e-mail address. We also require a 24 hours contact name and number in the UK for the period you are abroad. This is in case of emergency or for any unforeseen circumstances.
If you are booking your holiday online, we'll also need your credit/debit card details (including card number, cardholder name, expiry date and start date for Mastercard) in order to take payment and confirm the booking on-line. If you're paying by debit card we may also need to take the start date and issue number of the card.
All the information you give us is protected by a secure server. The secure server uses SSL (Secure Socket Layers), which encrypts all information you enter before it is sent to us. The information is only de-encrypted when it reaches our server.
We also have two Firewalls (security and intrusion detection devices) and virus protection in place to protect our internal information from the outside Internet.
Yes, Peltours uses 'temporary session cookies’. A cookie is a small piece of information sent by a web server to store on a web browser so it can later be read back from that browser. This is useful for having the browser remember some specific information, such as keeping track of your details through the booking process.
The cookies that our site places on your computer do not, however, store any information other than an identification code that can be linked to the more secure information stored in our own database - your personal information is never available to any third party website. This cookie will automatically expire and be removed from your PC 20 minutes after you finish using our site.
Peltours will only disclose your name and booking details to our suppliers for operational purposes. We will not pass on your details to other companies for marketing purposes.
We won't disclose credit/debit card numbers unless we believe in good faith that the law requires it.
