Holidays in Cefalu, Sicily

A small fishing village located on the north coast of Sicily, Cefalu is a popular beach resort with its pretty sandy beach and attractive old town. Protected by giant rock, the delightful medieval town boasts white architecture which blends beautifully with the surrounding grey rocks, green hillsides and shimmering blue sea. It seems that very little has changed over centuries and Cefalu has beautifully maintained its medieval status. The harbourside has plenty of restaurants and trattorias where you can sit with a chilled glass of limoncello and watch the fishermen off-loading their catch. For active minds, climb to the Rock overlooking the village for fabulous views of the delightful village, coastline and the stunning blue bay. The beach is one of the most beautiful in Sicily - split in different sections, it offers a variety of options from soft sand to more rocky areas with umbrellas and parasols to more secluded corners.
