Cavtat is the most southern town in Croatia; it is located only three miles from the Cilipi airport and 13 miles from Dubrovnik Old Town. This Roman town is rich with monuments, residences and grand palaces and is part of the delightful Dubrovnik Riviera. The southern location, warm sea and the pleasant Mediterranean climate ensure lush, tropical vegetation with palm trees and inviting turquoise water for sailing and scuba diving. Beautifully positioned on the waterfront of the old Cavtat, the pale grey stone Baroque Church of Saint Nicholas is reached by stone steps and filled with local artwork. The famous artist, Vlaho Bukovac, was born in Cavtat and his former lovingly restored stone home has now become a cultural monument which is open for visitors.

The coastal promenade - lined with restaurants, bars and cafes - is the vibrant centre point of Cavtat both day and night. There are also plenty of delightful pathways which take you to quiet secluded bays and exceptional nature trails.
